Job Description
Saunders Staffing is seeking a Bank Bookkeeper/Data Processor. Bank Bookkeeper/Data Processor will Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
Knowledge:· Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.· Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, statistics, and their applications.· English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.· Accounting - Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.· Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.· Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of company software.
Tasks:· File completed documents in appropriate locations.· Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered.· Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors.· Maintain logs of activities and completed work.· Various reports; run and build reports on NuPoint reporter, check FINCEN reports against CIF, and quarterly reports for call report.· Reconcile various items; official checks, club accounts, cash advances, and correspondent banks and FRB.· Research transactions for internal use, customers and subpoenas.· Daily; scan, index, build and maintenance new and existing accounts as needed, process NSF’s, nonpost, and chargebacks, check payments to savings, clubs, and loans.· Print as needed; RVC statements, savings statements, TDA and loan notices, CD interest checks, and club checks.· Run proof work from all branches.· Answer phones when needed, assist customers and co-workers with account questions.· Various other duties; e-mail FCBOE daily totals, upload various payroll files, address changes and returned mail, and remove dormant accounts from active to dormant status.· Stay abreast of regulatory changes in banking industry and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.· Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all internal policies and procedures of the bank.· Play a role in protecting all bank and customer information and all systems used as it relates to information security.· Willingness to complete any task assigned, even if not directly related to current position held.

Experience and Education:· High School Diploma; GED or High School Equivalence Certificate.· 6 months to 1 year banking experience preferred.
Bonding and Licenses & Certification· Must be able to be bonded.· Must have a valid driver license.
