Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
Promote patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions.
Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
Med pass skills
Requirements of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Associate's degree in Nursing
Must have two years experience working in a long term care facility.
Licensed to work in the state of WV and in good standing.
Compensation for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Associate degree
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Certificate and license
Alzheimer unit only 30 hour Alzheimer/Dementia training required.
One year of full-time or equivalent part-time or volunteer experience in the care, treatment and development of the physically challenged or mentally ill or mentally retarded.
LPN certification
CPR card.

Currently recruiting for a Licensed Practical Nurse to fill an opening with a facility located in Bluefield, WV. Interested candidates must have one year experience working in a long term care facility and be licensed to work in the state of WV.
