Job Description
Saunders Staffing is seeking a Experienced Loan Assistant. Loan Assistant's will Assist Loan Officers in all areas of the Loan Department. Review loan documents at various stages of the loan process and responsible for the booking of the loans. Responsible for the day-to-day loan administration, including various tracking and reporting.
Knowledge:· Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.· English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.· Mathematics – Knowledge of arithmetic, statistics, and their applications.· Clerical – Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Tasks:· Verify and examine information and accuracy of loan application, disclosures, and closing documents.· Answer questions and advise customers regarding loans and transactions.· Calculate, review, and correct errors on interest, principal, payment, and closing costs, using computers or calculators.· Process monthly revolving account statements and order loan coupon books for applicable borrowers.· Maintain all loan files and collateral documents within the Loan Department.· Responsible for all day-to-day loan administration.· Stay abreast of regulatory changes in lending industry to correctly advise customers and ensure compliance with regulations.· Stay abreast of regulatory changes in banking industry and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.· Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all internal policies and procedures of the bank.· Play a role in protecting all bank and customer information and all systems used as it relates to information security.· Willingness to complete any task assigned, even if not directly related to current position held.

It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
Physical Requirements:· Rotating schedule based on branch assigned, opening, closing and every other Saturday may be required.· Moderate stress level.· May sit for long periods of time at a personal computer.· Some lifting may be required - generally up to 25 lbs.· Records management may involve stooping, bending and reaching motions.
Education and Experience:· High School Diploma; GED or High School Equivalence Certificate.· No experience required.
Bonding and Licenses & Certification· Must be able to be bonded.
