Job Description
Payroll/Human Resources Manager
We are looking for an efficient Payroll/Human Resources Manager. Duties will include preparation of payroll, handling of human resources, associated accounts payable, and other related activities using QuickBooks and Excel.
Payroll Responsibilities:
Collecting and verifying time sheets and entering payroll data into the system
Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies
Issuing direct deposits and paystubs detailing earnings and deductions
Preparing, maintaining, and updating payroll records, including I-9 forms
Preparing and updating employee benefits packages
Answering employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll
Preparing and filing periodic payroll reports all paying all payroll liabilities
Paying payroll-related accounts payable items
Tracking and payment of workers' compensation premiums
Preparing low-earnings forms and various other forms and reports
Other Responsibilities:
Preparing, filing, and paying B&O, CST, and Use Taxes
Preparing, filing, and paying IFTA and IRP
Preparing and filing UCR and related DOT reports
Allocation of fuel usage
Preparing and distributing job costing reports to managers
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Degree in accounting or related field
Previous experience in a payroll position (3-4 years minimum)
Experience with payroll software. QuickBooks knowledge is a plus
PC proficiency in Microsoft Office with at least two years of experience in Excel
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Self-motivated and ability to multi-task
Team player and ability to work well with others
Pre hire drug screening is mandatory
Full-time position, pay commensurate with experience, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm
