Pharmacy Technician
Location: Pittsburgh PA
Job Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist our licensed pharmacists in the distribution, preparation, and administration of medications. Your primary responsibilities will include filling prescriptions, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the proper handling and storage of pharmaceutical products. You will also provide exceptional customer service to patients and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Fill and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of medication inventory and usage
- Assist pharmacists in the compounding and preparation of medications
- Provide customer service and education to patients regarding their medications
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support the overall well-being of patients
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program or certification
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in pharmacology and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
