Job Description: Jr. IT Project ManagerPosition Title: IT Project Manager Department: Information Technology Location: Charleston, WV Job Type: Full time Contract (1-2 years) anticipated start date March 2025---Job Summary:The IT Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the PMO office initiatives in the execution of the project from UAT testing to completion. This includes supporting the planning, coordinating, and ensuring the successful delivery of IT initiatives within scope and on time. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to support cross-functional teams while maintaining a focus on meeting client or business needs. Will be part of the PMO team.---Key Responsibilities (working with Sr. project managers):· Project Planning & Strategy:o Work with detailed project plans, using MS Project, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.o Support project goals, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business requirements.o Identify/communicate project risks and create mitigation strategies to prevent delays.· Team Management:o Support project teams, including technical staff, vendors, and third-party partners.o Monitor tasks and responsibilities, ensuring all team members understand project expectations and deadlines.o Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members to ensure smooth project execution.· Execution & Monitoring:o Document and report the daily execution of project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.o Track project progress, monitor performance, and adjust plans as necessary.o Create weekly project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders, including senior management.o Create/Monitor issues ticketing system to ensure all issues are documented and resolved in testing.· Stakeholder Management:o Communicate regularly with stakeholders to manage expectations and gather feedback.o Support all stakeholders are informed of key developments, including changes to scope, timelines, or costs.· Quality Assurance:o Work with PMO office to monitor all testing results to ensure all test scripts are completed.o Provide feedback to the project leadership on testing results.· Post-Project Evaluation:o Coordinate post-project reviews and document lessons learned for future improvement.o Help develop final reports on project outcomes, performance, and areas for future development.---Required Skills & Qualifications:· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).· PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or similar project management credentials is preferred.· Proven experience managing IT projects, with at least 3 years in a project management role.· Understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and/or systems integration.· Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.· Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.· Proficient with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Microsoft tools, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts or escalate appropriately any issues as they arise.· Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing business needs.---Working Conditions:· Full-time position, with occasional overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.· Required on site in Charleston, WV-Remote work occasionally may be available depending on
